The Impact of Visual Storytelling

Audra Mulkern (Founder, Female Farmer Project)
Madeline Puckette (Founder, Wine Folly)
Dame Hsiao-Ching Chou, moderator (Author, Chinese Soul Food)

Storytelling is a powerful way to share ideas and information and to connect and engage an audience. Coupling story with imagery can have an especially strong impact.
These two entrepreneurs use visual storytelling in different ways — one through compelling photography (and a documentary film in the works) to honor women in agriculture, the other with dynamic graphics, video, and illustration that demystifies the world of wine, encouraging exploration. Learn about the value of thinking creatively vis-a-vis visual storytelling, and pick up some tactics applicable to myriad communications needs.
